Let's keep things safe, fair and fun for everybody! These are the rules we all agree to adhere to during the Jamboree:

BIKES & WHEELS

Bikes are for staff only. No skateboards, scooters or other recreational wheeled transport. Slow down the hoedown! The only getting-down we want is on the dance floor.

LAWN CHAIRS

Lawn chairs don’t listen and they don’t clap. It’s a drag to perform for empty lawn chairs. It’s also a drag to not have a space to post up because of empty lawn chairs. Please take your chairs with you when you ramble. Chairs can be leaned folded against the four tall trees.

JAMMING

By all means pick, pluck, strum and sing at your campsite! Hand percussion is permitted, but must maintain a subdued volume. No car stereos or generators, please.

BABY IS SLEEPING

Shady Grove has quiet hours from 10pm-9am.
Tin Hat’s quiet hours are 2am-9am.
Northwest Passage is 24-hour quiet camping.

FIRE

No wood campfires, candles, tiki torches, charcoal BBQs, or open flame of any kind is permitted. Propane campfires and propane grills may be allowed, depending on weather conditions. See Jamboree Security during the event for updates.

FREE RANGE CHILDREN

We’re here to catch but we don’t have arms to wrangle 'em all. Keep an eye on your toddlers, tweens and teens.

TRAFFIC

Once a vehicle leaves the campground (including Shady Grove) it will not be re-admitted without an additional fee. Parking is free in the adjacent parking lot. Any campground vehicle movement 9pm-6am requires coordination with Security.

REFUSE

The Central Waste Station and the Shady Grove Station are equipped with bins for recycling, compost and garbage– along with friendly waste coaches to help sort. All food vendors serve on compostable ware. Please leave your campsite clean and green.

ICE

Ice is available for $5. Pay at Sub-Duds then collect your cubes at the gate of the Staff Canteen, beyond the Tin Hat.

DOGS

No dogs or other pets are allowed at the Jamboree. if you accidentally show up with yours, we'll direct you to the loving care of one of these nearby kennels:

  • R&R Kennels - 1861 Mt. Baker Hwy. / 360-671-8445
    Very close to the festival.
$5 discount if you mention Subdued Stringband Jamboree
  • Mountain Veterinary Hospital - 3413 Mt Baker Hwy. / 360-592-5113
The closest to the festival, shot records (or shots) required for boarding.
  • Hyline Hotel for Dogs - 1014 E Hemmi Rd., Everson / 360-398-0174

SWIMMING

The official Jamboree swimming hole is at the Nugents Corner river access. Turn right on Cedarville when leaving the festival grounds, then left on Mt Baker Highway. Another right after crossing the bridge. All other river access is private property and off-limits to Jamboree attendees.

FREE RANGE CHILDREN

We’re here to catch but we don’t have arms to wrangle 'em all. Keep an eye on your toddlers, tweens and teens.

SHHH!

It’s OK to shush or be shushed. Life at the Jamboree swirls around us and sometimes we’re talking louder than we think. One person's good time can interfere with another person’s ability to hear the second verse, and…the second verse has a few really good lines in it.
